Thoughts from a Rambling Redhead

Memories Without Regrets

Psalm 19:141 min read

I just finished reading, "Evidence Not Seen: A Woman's Miraculous Faith in the Jungles of World War II." I highly recommend although it is a very convicting book. Here is a quote from the book that really made me think. "How lovely, Lord, it is to make memories without regrets. Help me always to remember this. May I never allow anything in my life that, like the touch of soiled fingers, would leave a stain of regret". I know I'm not adequately describing this but the quote 'painted' a picture for me and I can 'see' decisions I've made, words I've said, thoughts I've had, 'leave' soiled prints. I want to live my life with no regrets...don't we all?? But the regrets come after the 'action'. I need to make sure that I'm not allowing things into my life to cause the 'action' of regret. Honestly, right now that is hard! Maybe a social media cleanse, an attitude adjustment, etc. is what is needed. Psalm 19:14 is my life verse. Time to take inventory. Maybe I'm not the only one
